Purposes
We help youth and young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.
- Live:
We live the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive for the companionship of the Spirit. - Teach:
We teach students the doctrines and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets. - Administer:
We administer our programs and resources appropriately.
This S&I on-call position is responsible for teaching seminary students the doctrine and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets. A substitute teacher position will be responsible for teaching one or more class periods as needed.
Responsibilities
- Encourages and motivates students to grow spiritually
- Effectively prepares and presents religious lesson materials to students
- Helps students fulfill their role in the learning process
Qualifications
(U.S.) Must have a foundational knowledge of LDS gospel principles. Must know and be able to apply: educational theory and technique; psychology of youth learning in a religious context; S&I policies and material. Must be able to apply sensitivity and diplomacy in teaching students. Must be able to interface with students and parents.
