Our client is actively seeking a passionate Lecturer in Mathematics Education to join their Faculty of Education in George . This role is pivotal in training future educators, equipping them with the pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary to teach mathematics effectively. You will be involved in curriculum development, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and conducting research in mathematics education. Key Responsibilities- Teach modules on mathematics pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment for pre-service and in-service teachers.
- Design, implement, and evaluate innovative teaching and learning strategies in mathematics education.
- Conduct scholarly research in mathematics education, disseminating findings through publications and presentations.
- Supervise student research projects and postgraduate theses related to mathematics teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with schools and educational institutions to enhance practical teaching experiences for student teachers.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching mathematics at a school or tertiary level.
- A strong understanding of current theories and practices in mathematics education.
- Excellent research capabilities, with a track record of publications or a commitment to developing one.
- Proficiency in using educational technologies and learning management systems.
