Product Yield Enhancement Engineer – Micron Technology

As a Product Yield Enhancement Engineer, you will be part of a forward‑thinking team of engineers that solves sophisticated problems, responsible for enabling Micron’s products to release issue‑free to both internal and external customers. You will serve as the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.
Responsibilities & Tasks- Identify causes of low yield through detailed analysis
- Work closely with various engineering groups to resolve process/defects related issues
- Perform physical failure analysis sample preparation and microscopy work to understand the failure mechanism relating to assembly defects and fab process
- Apply statistical tools for detailed data analysis on product to drive yield improvement projects
- Follow chemical safety and laboratory procedures
- Use best known methods and develop new methods when vital
- Maintain certification and training requirements
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
- Develop expert level sample preparation skills
- Develop expert level microscopy skills (Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), CSAM, X‑RAY)
- Work shift is TBD – Shift and hours flexibility (position requires day to night shift rotations in intervals of 4 months)
- 5+ years of applicable experience, or applicable Engineering B.S.
- Demonstrate teamwork, self‑development, drive for results, integrity, and trust
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Highly motivated and goal‑oriented
