Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers)
We're seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to contribute to the Advanced Manufacturing team at Jacobs, focusing on Data Centers including new builds, retrofits, and colocations. You will perform structural engineering assignments, grow technically and professionally, and lead projects as you gain experience.
Base Pay Range$/yr – $/yr
Your Impact- Perform analysis and create computer models for structures.
- Calculate member designs and foundations, prepare material take-offs, miscellaneous calculations, and assist with schedules.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects, liaise with internal professionals, and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
- Grow technically and professionally, expanding your leadership role within the organization.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer, with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams.
- Ability to travel to clients’ sites (approximately 10–20%).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects such as casting and rolling operations.
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality and client expectations.
