As an Equipment Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing Pump/Abatement/Chiller equipment to improve product quality, driving yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems.

You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve equipment related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC/FDC methodology. Coordinating and carrying out equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost optimization activities, handling new equipment qualifications and managing, auditing and collaborating with equipment suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation objectives.

The Equipment Engineer role is responsible for supervising the health of their assigned equipment, ensuring high-quality output, and providing proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time or turns.

Responsibilities
  • Start up, develop, and optimize Pump/Abatement/Chiller equipment to improve product quality and drive yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management; resolve manufacturing line problems.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment-related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodology.
  • Coordinate and carry out equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process steps.
  • Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost optimization activities.
  • Handle new equipment qualifications and manage, audit, and collaborate with equipment suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation objectives.
  • Provide proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time or turns.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, equivalent military experience or AAS with 1+ year industry experience.
    • 1+ year of experience in Pump/Abatement/Chiller Equipment Development for semiconductor products.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in manufacturing.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Data Science understanding.
