Join to apply for the Scheduling / Cost Engineer role at MKA International, Inc.
We are seeking to add a highly motivated mid-to-senior Scheduling and Cost Engineer to our team of multi-disciplinary consultants. The individual will have knowledge in evaluating contractor schedules and providing accurate and timely decision support information for residential, commercial, industrial facilities, marine, and inland structures. Experience in document review, schedule analysis, contract review, change orders, daily reports, technical report writing, and construction litigation is preferred.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Create, manage, and analyze CPM schedules.
- Evaluate schedule progress, trends, delays, and recommend changes.
- Maintain comprehensive, integrated project schedules and cost baselines.
- Assess deviations from cost and schedule baselines.
- Develop critical item reports highlighting major issues and delays.
- Understand contract scopes and evaluate contractor schedules for milestone feasibility.
- Analyze costs and complex issues for various types of projects.
- Communicate with clients and construction teams to address issues and prepare reports.
- Manage multiple projects within time and budget constraints.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Willingness to travel nationwide on short notice.
- Experience with litigation support, including expert testimony, is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or heavy civil construction.
- On-site project experience, preferably as a Project Manager, Engineer, or Superintendent.
- Proficiency in Primavera and Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with insurance claims or contract disputes.
- PE license or PSP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of AACE practices and multiple construction types.
