About the role

We are looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside our team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.

Key

responsibilities
  • Layout and design of HVAC systems
  • Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
  • Development of final construction documents associated with HVAC systems such as chilled water, cooling water, etc.
  • Coordination with other disciplines.
Required qualifications
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
  • Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
Preferred qualifications
  • Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
  • Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
