Med Tech Field Service Engineer – 100% travel position requiring local, regional, and national travel.
OverviewAs a Med Tech Field Service Engineer you will lead a team in installing, updating, and servicing medical devices such as infusion pumps and batteries in hospitals across the United States. You will provide exceptional customer service and technical support to healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on‑site hospital staff.
- Organize, test, and update medical devices, installing and configuring hardware, software, and network products.
- Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
- Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation.
- Commit to full‑time travel (local, regional, and national) with a 40‑hour weekly schedule; overtime may be required.
- Associate degree or equivalent military training; 3‑5 years of field service experience in a biomedical or technical field.
- Strong computer skills with troubleshooting ability across multiple software programs.
- Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure on‑time completion of project assignments.
- Active, unrestricted driver license and personal vehicle for local work assignments.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Proof of vaccination status required; willingness to obtain if offered the role.
- Full‑time commitment with travel flexibility.
- Assignment‑based schedule of 40+ hours per week with national travel to support customer needs.
- Valid driver’s license and a review of driving record prior to hire.
- Personal vehicle required for assignments up to 3 hours from home.
- Located within 1 hour of a major airport.
- Travel time is paid.
- Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field‑based technician roles.
- Experience in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
- Strong computer skills and comfort troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications.
This position is not eligible for medical benefits.
Vaccine/Immunization/Hospital Credentialing RequirementCompletion of healthcare facility credentialing is required, including up‑to‑date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, TB test, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal), and COVID‑19 primary series. Enhancements may be required by individual facilities.
