Your impact

We are looking for Entry-Level Engineers to join our teams across North America to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and be involved in a variety of engineering tasks for clients ranging from cities/municipalities to federal government agencies to private manufacturing or data center clients.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, supporting project coordination, engineering design using specialty software, and data collection/analysis, under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff.

Your responsibilities may include: preparing construction cost estimates, conducting code compliance reviews, performing field investigations, drafting technical reports and memorandums, reviewing equipment submittals and shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs, and more. You’ll take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned, progressing from basic design work to more complex projects with a technical team.

To be successful in an Entry-Level Engineer position with Jacobs you must be results-driven and client-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong work ethic. Ability to manage time and responsibilities effectively while delivering high-quality work is essential. You’ll have access to expert mentorship to help you grow and pursue what fulfills you while making an impact locally and globally.

What

you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Geological, Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or another closely related field.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Ideally you will also have

  • Master’s degree in Structural, Transportation, Water, Fire Protection, or another specialized field aligning with our opportunities
  • Previous relevant engineering internship
Benefits and compensation

Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave.

Some roles may be eligible for bonuses and stock. The base salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $90,000.00, determined by location, job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
