Your impact

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced, business development and client‑service‑focused project manager to join our growing team of multi‑discipline professionals, delivering outstanding planning, design, and construction management services to our Northwest Cities & Places clients across corporate, industrial, hi‑tech, municipal, transit, aviation, healthcare, and higher education markets.

In this role you will
  • Help develop and implement our broader Cities & Places market growth strategy through interaction with client organizations; build and lead client service teams to serve new clients, especially in healthcare, higher education, life sciences, and hi‑tech markets.
  • Work with team members to promote our company culture, which encourages autonomy and offers great opportunities to deliver local projects on the Cities & Places platform while supporting mature infrastructure markets across the Northwest and West Region.
  • Build upon existing and new client relationships to organize and develop teams for planning, consulting, design, and alternative delivery work. Assist Sales Teams in identifying opportunities, developing qualification packages, and attending interviews.
  • Act as the company’s main point of contact on assigned projects or clients to ensure expectations are identified and met.
  • Lead project teams in developing design and project documentation by providing overall direction, coordinating with external stakeholders, internal team members, and subcontractors.
  • Provide skilled project management to reduce costs, add value, and deliver large complex projects on time, within budget, and per scope. Draft, coordinate, and manage proposals, staffing plans, delivery budgets, progress schedules, and project delivery schedules.
  • Provide office‑based construction phase services, including coordinating responses to RFIs, submittals and shop drawing reviews, construction modification documents, and site visits.
  • Ensure overall quality of project deliverables in adherence to Jacobs’ rigorous Quality Program, enhancing project quality through effective ideas and suggestions.
  • Mentor staff and drive professional development to support delivery of the highest level of service to clients.
  • Engage with other Jacobs planning and design professionals and project delivery leaders through internal technical and social communities, growing skills, and networking.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Engineering (Bachelor or Master of Architecture or Engineering).
  • 5‑10 years of experience as a Project Manager in an Architectural or Engineering organization with demonstrated project management experience within private and/or public sector markets.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience in buildings and infrastructure‑related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems / components / technology, team‑building, and client relationship‑building.
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
  • Understanding workflow and documentation for BIM (Revit).
  • Professional Registered Architect (RA) and NCARB Certificate, or Professional Engineering License.
