Job Overview

Join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems as a Detailer to model and coordinate projects using the latest technologies and ACCO’s Virtual Construction Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all mechanical, process piping, and plumbing detailing efforts on assigned projects.
  • Streamline layout/routing, reduce fitting usage, and recognize design flaws.
  • Recognize high‑value opportunities for efficiency gains and reduce risk.
  • Read and extract necessary information from contract documents.
  • Utilize 3D Revit and 3D CAD modeling and coordination skills.
  • Attend regular project coordination meetings and collaborate with the BIM coordination team.
  • Create layout point files for Trimble and Topcon.
  • Post models into client FTP sites, maintain logs, and create RFI documentation.
  • Maintain constant communication with the ACCO project management team.
  • Represent ACCO’s culture, core values, and best interests professionally.
Essential Qualifications
  • 2+ years of related field experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical, process piping, and/or plumbing trades.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue, and BIM 360 Docs.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam Revu, BOX, and Smartsheet.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Forms).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
  • Require close and distance vision, color recognition.
  • Adequate hearing to respond to telephone calls.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for prolonged periods.
Working Hours
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm with breaks, occasional overtime possible.
Travel
  • 0–5 % travel to regional branch offices.
  • Potential relocation to ACCO’s main, branch, or satellite office locations.
