BAS Specialist

We are one of the country's leading mechanical contractors and are looking for a Building Automation (BA) System Specialist to focus on sequence testing, project graphics, and point‑to‑point verification. The role requires extensive knowledge and experience to guide successful installation and project completion while contributing to a culture of safety and collaboration.

• Inspect and test systems for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Verify proper operation of systems and installation of components.

• Test system components and diagnose performance issues.
• Set up and operate testing equipment and ensure sensor functionality.

• Create visual representations of wiring and system designs.
• Produce necessary documentation, including electrical drawings and engineering instructions.
• Present designs to customers and suggest modifications as needed.

• Repair and service HVAC systems to enhance efficiency.
• Discuss system malfunctions with users and recommend maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement program modifications for proper operation.

• Adjust system controls for balanced performance based on manufacturer recommendations.

• Maintain records of time, materials, and unusual occurrences.
• Complete customer service and expense reports, and compile necessary job documentation.

• Instruct team members on equipment operation and implementation of efficient practices.
• Assist individuals throughout the workday and suggest improvements.

• 5+ years of experience with HVAC systems and their components.
• 5+ years of proficiency in computers, electronics, and electrical circuits.
• 5+ years of understanding of building and construction materials and processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and programming logic.
• Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
