AI Engineer IV (Health Care)

Location: Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah

Schedule: Hybrid (Office 3 days/week – Onsite-Flex)

Join Cambia Health Solutions as an AI Engineer. Cambia is building a person-focused and economically sustainable health care system.

Overview

As an AI Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain AI operations infrastructure to ensure seamless deployment, scalability, and reliability of AI applications. You will collaborate closely with ML scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate ML, DL, NLP, and GenAI models into production environments, automate workflows, optimize performance, and monitor model outcomes. You will also build rapid GenAI prototypes to accelerate innovation and support data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Develop long-term AI Engineering strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Represent Cambia in industry forums, conferences, and publications related to AI Engineering.
  • Establish partnerships with external organizations and vendors to enhance AI Engineering capabilities.
  • Oversee the architecture and design of AI infrastructure to meet future needs.
  • Ensure the organization remains at the forefront of ML Ops innovations and practices.
  • Lead enterprise-scale AI systems and infrastructure implementations.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on ML Ops initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Champion an organizational culture that values continuous learning and innovation in ML Ops.
  • Adapt AI Engineering strategies to changes in the business environment.
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies for rapid GenAI prototype development across the organization.
Qualifications and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in ML Ops Engineering, Dev Ops Engineering, Data Engineering or Software Development.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Attributes (Not Limited To)
  • Contribute to enterprise patterns and practices for AI Solutions.
  • Author and champion enterprise-wide AI Engineering standards.
  • Industry leadership in ML Ops, with contributions through publications, patents, or speaking engagements.
  • Extensive experience with cutting-edge ML Ops tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale organizational change.
  • Strong visionary and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of leading large, cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Expertise in high-performance computing environments and technologies (e.g., GPU clusters, distributed computing frameworks).
  • Comprehensive understanding of AI technologies: ML, DL, NLP, GenAI.
Compensation

The AI Engineer IV salary range is $150k–$180k, depending on skills, experience, education, and training. The bonus target for this position is 15%.
