Project Engineer, Environmental Engineer

Designs pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations, and other water system facilities. Leads as project manager for water system additions and modifications working closely with company personnel in overseeing construction and accomplishing successful project delivery. Participates in and actively contributes to short and long‑term system planning as assigned. Conducts analyses and assists with projection studies to assure capacity for adequate service.

Actively participates in supporting and achieving all Engineering department and corporate metrics and goals as appropriate. Effectively manages consultants and contractors for project delivery. Monitors and prepares capital expenditure authorizations for assigned projects. Prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates, and regulatory submissions for assigned projects. Performs ongoing assessment of project risk/opportunities, and follows through with project close‑out activities and documentation. Assesses system needs in relation to IDEQ regulations, capacity requirements, and growth projections, and makes appropriate recommendations.

Works with local agencies such as IDEQ and ACHD for successful completion and permitting of projects. Serves as a contact for customers explaining technical information, project progress, and new initiatives. Provides weekly and monthly reports to management regarding the status of capital projects and issues affecting project performance. Develops and proposes solutions to correct project performance deficiencies. Reviews designs by others to ensure conformance with company and regulatory standards.
