Role Overview
We’re seeking mid‑level design engineers with a broad background in environmental site remediation for federal and global private sector clients. Based anywhere in the United States, you’ll work with scientists, engineers, subject‑matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects nationwide. Your technical experience will be applied to the design of environmental remedial actions and/or remediation systems in support of our global remediation technology team.
Responsibilities- Evaluate site conditions, determine data needs, assess remedial alternatives, perform engineering calculations, and develop designs.
- Prepare work plans, reports, design documents, and design specifications.
- Assume ownership of assigned tasks as a mid‑level engineer while being directed by Design Managers and discipline leads.
- Spend most of your time in the office but also visit sites to support or oversee the gathering of design data.
- Maintain Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance standards and contribute to operational excellence.
- Collaborate with the Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates to maximize design, digital technology, and support capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
- Knowledge and experience with environmental remediation technologies, systems, or remedial actions.
- Minimum of 7 years of on‑the‑job experience in the environmental remediation industry, with the ability to provide project examples.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience designing environmental remedial actions or remediation systems, with the ability to provide project examples.
- On‑the‑job experience writing specifications, preparing basis‑of‑design reports, and developing design drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work remotely with teams located nationwide.
- Based within the United States.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Experience related to construction or operation of environmental remediation systems or remedial actions.
- Experience performing and leading environmental field work for remediation projects and understanding of methodology and procedures.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Experience overseeing subcontractors or third‑party construction contractors on active project sites.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to document design decisions and action items.

Employment& Compensation
Base pay range: $91,400 – $159,900 per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Position is full‑time and available for a hybrid work arrangement.
