CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Senior Overhead Electrical Transmission Engineer to join our Electric Overhead Transmission Team
in or around Denver, CO or Tucson, AZ
, as a technical leader and mentor. This is your opportunity to inspire progress, oversee project delivery, and leave a meaningful legacy across a wide spectrum of electric overhead transmission engineering initiatives.

• Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for electric overhead transmission infrastructure
• Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of electric overhead transmission
• Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions that enhance grid resiliency and energy efficiency
• Engage with clients to grow our established relationships, offer them additional services, and take on exciting opportunities
• Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
• Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
• Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.)
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Experience supporting utility projects for clients such as Xcel Energy (Denver) or Tucson Electric Power (TEP) preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

• Serve as a technical leader within the Electric Overhead Transmission discipline, leading challenging projects that drive innovation and technical excellence
• Make a measurable impact while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent
• Flexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travel
• Work on impactful electric overhead transmission projects, including transmission line rebuilds, system upgrades, greenfield developments, foundation design, clearance assessments, maintenance initiatives, and utility planning efforts
