Job Description:
Mainframe Application lead specializing in designing, documenting, programming and supporting tools for our Mainframe development community’s efforts primarily for the Claims Application.
EssentialSkills:
- Highly proficient in COBOL, DYL
280, DB2, CICS, and JCL in a z/OS environment - Proficient in establishing CICS table entries for new programs, transactions and files
- Knowledge of using the following IBM products: z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, ISPF, TSO/E, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, PDS/PDSE dataset format
- Knowledge of project design considerations for interfacing with distributed applications, coordinating project designs and implementation plans
- Experience in project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming and implementation
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
