Saige Partners is seeking an experienced Nonprofit Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership to mission-driven organizations. About the Opportunity The CFO will serve as the primary financial advisor and relationship owner for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, partnering with executive directors, boards, and leadership teams to guide financial strategy and organizational growth. This role combines executive-level financial advisory, client relationship management, and team leadership within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Own client relationships and drive client satisfaction, retention, engagement, and account growth.
* Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive directors, boards, finance committees, and nonprofit leadership teams.
* Develop strategic financial plans aligned with organizational missions, budgets, and long-term objectives.
* Lead financial reporting, board presentations, cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and reserve strategy.
* Develop financial models to evaluate program sustainability, funding scenarios, and growth opportunities.
* Provide guidance on grant strategy, funding diversification, grant compliance, and major funding initiatives.
* Oversee audit management and collaborate with external auditors, attorneys, bankers, and other professional partners.
* Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controllers and accounting professionals.
* Establish expectations for quality, timeliness, client communication, and professional development.
* Manage team capacity, monitor performance, and address issues proactively.
* Ensure client deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with established budgets and service expectations.
* Complete internal responsibilities, including time tracking, capacity planning, quarterly goal setting, and information security practices.## Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
* 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within the nonprofit sector.
* Strong understanding of nonprofit GAAP, fund accounting, audit management, and grant compliance.
* Proven experience providing executive-level financial guidance and managing client relationships.
* Experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting or finance teams.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience working with boards and executive leadership.
* Ability to manage multiple client relationships, prioritize competing demands, and deliver consistent results.
* Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment strongly preferred.
