Float Phlebotomist – Labcorp

We are looking for a dedicated Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Boise,  surrounding area. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain experience across a variety of clinics and patients, allowing you to grow within Labcorp.

Key Incentives
  • $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS** (active Labcorp employees are not eligible)
  • Phlebotomy Incentive Plan – quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
  • Float Incentive – additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
Work Schedule & Location

Schedule: Monday – Friday, hours vary between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm; overtime and rotating Saturdays may be required.
Location: Boise,  surrounding area.

Benefits

Employees scheduled for 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part‑time employees (less than 20 hours) are eligible only for a 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
