Job Summary
Leads and develops the clinical team to ensure high‑quality mental health and substance use treatment services that promote client independence and family empowerment. Provides overall direction, supervision, and support to clinical staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable, trauma‑informed, spiritual and recovery‑oriented culture.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Full supervision of location‑specific clinical staff and Interns.
- Weekly individual supervision and regular team and case‑review meetings.
- Oversight of clinical workflows, documentation standards, and productivity expectations.
- Supports recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of clinical staff.
- Oversees client care regarding relapse, level of care recommendations and all other clinical recommendations
- Works closely with location Brick House Manager to ensure quality of client care as well as staff culture
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Idaho license: LCPC, LCSW, LPC, MSW (or equivalent).
- Registered with the State of Idaho as a Clinical Supervisor (or eligible within a defined timeframe).
- 3–4+ years of progressive supervisory/leadership experience in inpatient, residential, or outpatient behavioral health settings.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing performance, and implementing program or process improvements.
- Proven ability to build positive team culture, facilitate change, and resolve conflict constructively.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with EHRs and standard office software (Google Workspace and Best Notes).
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff; provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance management.
- Conduct regular supervision focused on clinical quality, professional development, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, clinical standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory/accreditation expectations.
- Oversee clinical processes, group curriculum, and treatment planning for consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with best practices.
- Use data and metrics (e.g., utilization, outcomes, documentation timeliness) to guide decision‑making and improve services.
- Participate in executive and clinical leadership meetings; contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and program growth.
- Collaborate with billing/UR, medical, operations, and leadership to optimize service delivery, scheduling, and utilization.
- Lead incident response and follow‑up, ensuring documentation, communication, and corrective actions are completed and reviewed in risk management forums.
- Promote strong relationships with referral sources, community partners, and families as needed to support access and continuity of care.
- Maintain a minimum clinical caseload and provide therapy as needed to support program demands and model best practices.
- Pre‑employment drug screening and possible random testing.
- Completion of orientation and required trainings (including CPR/First Aid within 30 days)
- Works under minimal supervision; expected to be a self‑starter, effective time manager, and strong role model for staff.
- Makes day‑to‑day decisions regarding staff direction, client care coordination, admissions/discharges (in collaboration with leadership), and clinical operations.
- Escalates complex clinical, legal, or safety issues to executive leadership and participates in developing solutions and action plans.
