- Report all incidents immediately.
- Participate in incident investigations.
- Hold direct reports accountable for adhering to safety policies.
- Recognize and promote employees demonstrating safe behaviors.
- Discuss safety and the importance of it at each team meeting/gathering.
- Operate vehicle safely, following all applicable laws and company policies.
- Follows company safety policies and procedures on the jobsite, promotes safe behavior with our customers.
- Actively cares for and advocates for safety at Agri-Service.
- Adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Attends regular safety meetings with Department teams and ensures required Safety Trainings are complete.
- Communicate with Safety Manager and/or Supervisors to identify and address safety concerns.
- Provide support to the safety/training department and any other departments in addressing and resolving safety issues.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety with both words and actions.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to the HR Generalist and Payroll Administrator.
- Set clear goals, expectations, and professional development plans for HR staff.
- Ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and employee-focused.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with leadership to ensure workforce planning aligns with business needs and candidates are appropriately selected and screened.
- Manage performance review processes and assist in leadership coaching and development efforts.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-trust workplace culture across all Agri-Service locations.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns with professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Travel to each Agri-Service location a minimum of once per quarter.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with all applicable regulations (in partnership with Payroll Manager).
- Oversee annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes.
- Conducts annual compensation analysis, evaluates current paygrades, and makes recommendations for changes to align with compensation strategy.
- Ensures legal compliance with FLSA status and wage laws in the states where we operate.
- Participates in the Sales Compensation Committee to ensure incentive plans aligned with company goals are in place for the key positions at appropriate incentive levels.
- Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, and performance appraisal programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain and oversee personnel records, HRIS systems, and required reporting.
- Lead audits and compliance-related projects as needed.
- Support leadership development, training programs, and succession planning.
- Lead or contribute to initiatives related to employee engagement, culture improvement, and internal communication.
- Continue improving programs, policies, practices, and procedures to align with the strategic plan and continued growth of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- 7+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, payroll practices, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
