The Talent & Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the company’s recruiting process, maintaining company-wide training programs and resources, and supporting initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. This position partners with restaurant leadership to ensure recruiting efforts are organized and effective, training materials remain current and consistent, and managers have the tools and resources they need to successfully onboard and develop their teams.

As Bardenay, Inc. continues to grow, this role will focus on building strong recruiting strategies, maintaining effective training resources, and continuously improving our recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee experience. This position is expected to think proactively and recommend innovative ideas that help us continue to grow as an employer of choice.

• Lead and oversee company-wide recruiting efforts for all locations.
• Own the recruiting pipeline by maintaining full visibility into all open positions, candidate progress, and manager follow-through to ensure hiring momentum is never lost.
• Manage recruiting platforms, job postings, and applicant screening, including background checks.
• Partner with restaurant leadership to support current and future staffing needs.
• Identify and implement effective recruiting strategies and sourcing opportunities, including social media, referrals, job fairs, and community partnerships.
• Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to strengthen hiring effectiveness and support company growth.

• Develop, maintain, and improve company training manuals and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure training materials remain accurate and relevant.
• Coordinate updates to manager, hourly, and leadership training programs.
• Track required certifications, company training completion, and evaluations.

• Develop initiatives that enhance the employee experience from recruitment through training.
• Support employee recognition, engagement initiatives, and company events.
• Gather feedback and identify opportunities to strengthen Bardenay’s culture.
• Research and recommend innovative programs that support employee engagement and company growth.

• Evaluate recruiting, onboarding, and training processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Research and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Develop and implement programs that support company growth and operational excellence.
• Lead special projects and initiatives that strengthen company-wide processes and systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources plus two years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry experience to include management roles preferred.
• Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office and other applicable programs.
• Professional maturity, including maintaining strict confidentiality and handling employment situations appropriately and with sensitivity.
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail.
