The Security Analyst III role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to help effectively manage cyber risk. The role works on security initiatives of diverse complexity and scope, which may requirein-depth evaluation of multiple factors. This position demonstrates expertise and practical knowledge of cyber risk management, policies, standards, mitigations, and controls. The role may act as a team or project leader, providing expertise or direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making.

The Security Analyst III has the ability to handle most unique situations and may seek advice when making decisions on complex business issues.

• Analyzes, documents, reports & confirms effectiveness of security standards, policies, requirements, and controls and leads information security initiatives and projects of moderate to complexity.
• Demonstrates technical and non-technical expertise and exerts influence within the immediate team. within assigned information security pillars (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover) and exerts influence within the immediate team.
  
  Participates in cross-functional teams.
• Participates and may lead in the delivery security initiatives and projects of moderately or complexity. Represents team to partners.
• Consults with team members and other organizations, customer, and vendors on complex cyber-issues.
• Ensure information security policies and standards are understood and assists the business in assessing risks and applying standards and policies
• Consults with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex cyber-issues.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

• 3+ years related indsutry experience and/or training
• General understanding of information security and demonstrated analytic skills.
• Intermediate skills in one or more information security pillars (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover).
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a geographically diverse team.
• Intermediate understanding of modern information security standards, capabilities, and practices.
• Intermediate understanding of cyber threat and vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation techniques.
• Intermediate understanding of information security policy, standard, and procedure development and implementation.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, evaluate, and address critical information.

This position is based onsite (5 days/week) full-time at Simplot HQ in downtown Boise, Idaho.
