Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant at Boise Cascade, under the guidance of the Corporate Operations Director and attorneys, may be responsible for the following:
- Transactional support for all contractual needs, including services, purchasing, and real estate; calendaring transactional and contract deadlines, monitoring closing processes; and administration of contract renewals/terminations.
- IP and trademark administration.
- Coordination of loan compliance documentation.
- Overseeing/coordinating company-wide presentation and training programs.
- Support on legal focused systems including Net Documents, Prolaw, Clio, Docu Sign, and contract management systems.
- Oversight of the internal Intranet legal website and documentation.
- Administrative tasks for the Legal Department including, but not limited to, booking travel, monthly invoice processing, subsidiary management, month-end accounting activities, and departmental event planning.
- Proficient in communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in preparation and formatting of various legal documents such as contracts, letters, affidavits, etc.
- Other project-based work depending on the needs of the Legal Department.
Qualifications
This role requires good organizational, analytical, verbal and writing skills. Equivalent work experience in law or a related subject matter area (e.g., real estate, labor relations, environmental compliance) is considered in lieu of a college degree if linguistic, analytical and organizational skills are adequate.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or PDF Software
- Understanding and use of document management systems and solutions (e.g., Docu Sign, Net Docs)
- Comfort with web based platforms a plus
- Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
