Warehouse Manager
Job SummaryThe Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all activities and staff within the warehouse including receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. The Warehouse Manager will ensure productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strategically manage all warehouse operations in compliance with all applicable company policies, processes, vision, and regulatory requirements.
- Setup warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization.
- Develop, coordinate and enforce applicable policies and processes.
- Maintain inventory controls utilizing company tools and resources.
- Set goals, monitor and manage performance of the team to meet company objectives.
- Identify and conduct training as needed.
- Ensure team obtains and maintains current job skills and certifications as required by role.
- Adhere to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Reports to Management Direct Supervisor job title(s), typically include Regional Warehouse Manager.
- Manages other employees (hiring/termination and pay decisions, performance management). Job title examples of employees directly supervised:
Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ability to lead a team with solid strategic and tactical direction.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, across all levels of the organization as well as customers, vendors and suppliers in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to adapt and lead change.
- Must manage multiple priorities while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Must exercise strong decision‑making.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Previous Warehouse experience required.
- Previous Leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with an inventory management system strong preferred; eAutomate experience a plus.
- Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
- Travel requirements:
Domestic: up to 20%. - Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
- Sitting: up to 2 hours a day.
- Lifting: up to 7 hours a day, up to 50 lbs max.
- Walking: up to 8 hours a day.
- Pushing/Pulling: up 7 hours a day, up to 50 lbs max.
- Standing: up to 8 hours a day.
- Climbing: up to 1 hour a day.
- Bending/Squatting/Stooping: up to 4 hours a day.
- Stairs: up to 2 hours a day.
- Reaching: up to 4 hours a day.
- Other physical demands or notes:
Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load exceeding 50 lbs without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, punching or pulling in an awkward position.
