Power Generation Senior Project Manager

Join HDR as a Power Generation Senior Project Manager and help drive innovative power and energy projects across the industrial, institutional, municipal, IPP and utility sectors.

HDR is an employee‑owned firm that values inclusion and collaboration. We’re looking for an experienced senior project manager to lead multi‑discipline teams, maintain client relationships, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Develop and maintain proactive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, contract review, and risk evaluation.
• Provide daily leadership to project team and technical staff.
• Coordinate communication with clients to align expectations and monitor deliverables.
• Monitor project budget and schedule; develop recovery plans for potential shortfalls.
• Identify scope changes and manage contract scope.
• Provide training and mentoring to project staff on management and consulting issues.
• Perform design or consulting work in the manager’s engineering area of expertise.
• Report project progress to accounting and operations teams.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Demonstrate business development and strategic planning skills.
• Maintain excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years related experience, including 5+ years of project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project (Access a plus).
• Proven leadership, business development, and strategic planning abilities.

Compensation range: $123,000‑$176,000 (Montana). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, PTO, parental leave, retirement plan with match, employee referral bonus, tuition reimbursement, and more.
