Forklift Operator
Warehouse Person role at Farwest Steel Corporation requires a full‑time, swing shift worker dedicated to safe and accurate order fulfillment.

Purpose of the PositionSafely and accurately fill orders with stock material or processed parts, load and unload trucks and rail cars with forklift and overhead cranes, assist machine operators and operate various machines and equipment necessary to service customer needs and add value to sales. Assist sales with warehouse and inventory information.
ShiftSwing, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Wage$18.50 to $27.30 per hour, plus $1.25 shift differential.
Major Duties- Pull material, fill orders, and prepare material for delivery, emphasizing safety while enhancing customer satisfaction through accuracy and product quality. Keep orders filled to ensure on‑time deliveries.
- Efficiently move material from trucks and railcars, restocking racks using Farwest procedures and equipment. Track material and heat numbers for certification. Rotate material and keep goods accessible.
- Assist machine operators, prepare parts for packaging and delivery per customer requirements and safe transport. Operate all machines in the warehouse and drive truck around bays.
- Perform maintenance and safety duties, attend safety and production meetings, and constantly monitor tools and equipment to insure safe operation and minimal downtime.
- Call customers to fill and load their material professionally. Assist sales staff with warehouse and inventory questions and issues.
- Basic understanding of warehouse functions and equipment operation.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment and treat employees and customers with respect, courtesy and tact.
- Perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make mathematical calculations.
