Quality Control / Manager, Quality Technician/ Inspector
Quality Assurance Technician (Wed.–Sat., 5:15 PM–5:30 AM) – $19 per hour with shift differential, eligible for shift hours.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our food products. You will conduct inspections, tests, and audits throughout the production process to uphold our standards of excellence. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sanitary and efficient manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Monitor critical control points and production parameters, and collaborate with production personnel to implement corrective actions.
- Verify that equipment, facilities, and personnel adhere to sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assist in audits and maintenance of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans; participate in HACCP meetings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects.
- Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Be flexible to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training or certification in food production or manufacturing is a plus.
- Previous experience working in food manufacturing or a similar production environment, preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in the production process.

- Work involves daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements such as extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
- Work environment involves exposure to physical risks and hazards, including mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases.
- Position requires the ability to stand, walk around office/warehouse/plant, lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, and utilize fine dexterity; may involve reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis.
