The Finish Assistant plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and appearance before they reach the customer. This position involves applying finishing techniques such as sanding, polishing, painting, or coating to enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of manufactured goods. The Finish Assistant collaborates closely with production teams to identify and resolve any surface defects or inconsistencies, contributing to overall product excellence.

Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount, as the role requires handling various finishing materials and equipment. Ultimately, the Finish Assistant helps maintain the company’s reputation for delivering superior finished products that satisfy client specifications and industry standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic experience or training in manufacturing or finishing processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools and finishing equipment.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing finishing role.
• Knowledge of different finishing materials and techniques.
• Certification in industrial finishing or related fields.
• Experience with quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.

• Prepare surfaces of manufactured items by cleaning, sanding, or otherwise conditioning them for finishing processes.
• Apply finishes such as paint, varnish, lacquer, or powder coatings using brushes, spray guns, or other equipment.
• Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and perform touch-ups or rework as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain and clean finishing tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to communicate issues and implement improvements in finishing processes.

The Finish Assistant utilizes manual dexterity and precision to apply finishing materials evenly and accurately, ensuring a high-quality product surface.
