Job Overview
The Referrals Pathway Coordinator brings an understanding of the lived experiences of asylum seekers, including their migratory journey, the barriers they face accessing protection and services, and the duality of migrant agency and structural vulnerability to a critical role that will supervise the provision of integrated resource navigation and referrals to recently arrived asylum seekers and other eligible migrants in Washington State.
This position will support access to legal, housing and case management services for asylum seekers in Washington State. The role includes managing the day-to-day operations of the referral process after the completion of intakes and needs assessment and follow up with partner organizations providing the services to ensure timely access.
Major Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation of the WA MASSP Hub referrals process, utilizing and developing related SOPs, to connect eligible clients to WA MASSP housing, case management, and legal services.
• Coordinate on a daily basis with Intake Coordinators to ensure timely and appropriate submission of referrals.
• Manage day-to-day referrals of all intakes and needs assessments conducted by the WAMASSP Hub.
• Monitor the acceptance and rejection of referrals and work closely with spoke organizations to identify solutions for clients to receive services in a timely manner.
• Monitor each housing and case management spoke’s capacity to ensure they receive timely and accurate referrals to maintain their case loads.
• Manage the escalation of crisis cases flagged by the on-site and Intake teams, occasionally working outside of scheduled hours, to ensure clients deemed highly vulnerable are connected to critical resources.
• Supervise Referral Specialists in their roles, providing troubleshooting and support as needed.
• Work with the Partnerships Coordinator and Sr. Program Manager to communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders and partners, including spoke organizations and ORIA.
• Provide training, supervision, and high-quality talent management for IRC staff, including temp staff working under IRC management.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating (SOPs) procedures in line with best programmatic and IRC policies and procedures to ensure successful program delivery and safe, supportive environment for clients, staff, and volunteers.
• Ensure program data is protected, monitored for the purpose of ongoing quality and improvement, and used to support opportunities to improve reception services for asylum seekers as well as ongoing donor reporting as applicable.
• Collaborate with other project coordinators to support project staff and the efficiency of intakes, assessment, and referrals.
• Comply with all IRC policies, procedures and protocols including adherence to the IRC Way and Child and Adult Safeguarding.
