Education & Work Experience- A minimum of two years of fundraising or events management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years related experience in events and volunteer coordination.
Responsible for creating, enhancing and expanding fundraiser and awareness events within Ada County and volunteer initiatives across the Boise Corps operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required- Understanding of The Salvation Army's mission and ministry.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft applications and database software.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, social media and web software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of drafting and editing correspondence.
- Detail‑oriented, accurate and precise.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Energetic, personable and dependable.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Works well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to adapt to change and to receive instructions.
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality.
- Calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and difficult situations.
- Maintains rapport and communication with staff and Corps Officers.
- Can work irregular hours, holidays, and respond to crisis or deadlines on short notice.
- Valid Idaho Driver’s License; passes Salvation Army Driver’s Test and has reliable transportation.
- Team player – helps achieve department goals.
- Manage all current fundraising events and lead new event development and management.
- Produce and coordinate fundraising events: advertising, logistics, leading committees, sponsor management, vendor relations, sponsor packet creation, RSVPs, auction items, check‑in/registration.
- Attend networking events with CO/Development Director.
- Collaborate to create and manage a public relations plan for the Boise Corps.
- Collaborate with Corps Administrators, Development Director, and Program Coordinators.
- Research, brainstorm, and propose creative event techniques.
- Ensure effective public relations and sponsor communication.
- Design event promotion elements.
- Market events in collaboration with the development team.
- Inform advisory board of upcoming events for monthly meetings and recruitment.
- Plan annual/lunch, award, and holiday events.
- Recruit and manage event committee members and volunteers.
- Recruit volunteers, working with other department heads as needed.
- Maintain volunteer database, update information, and communicate with volunteers.
- Partner with civic, schools, churches, and local organizations to increase volunteerism.
