Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Inpatient Pain Service – FT – Boise,
Location: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise,
Employment Type: Full time, 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Ten-hour shifts with evening call, Mon – Sun
Call: 24/7 call shared equitably between a 5-member team of Inpatient Pain providers

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks a Pain Service Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Pain Service Care Team.
Responsibilities:
- Hospital-based, interdisciplinary team consultations and daily rounding for patients in need of acute and chronic pain management
- Patient assessment, care planning, problem solving, and interdisciplinary teamwork under the supervision of a physician medical director
- Collaborating daily with palliative care physicians, RNs, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, and other providers
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited NP or PA program
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- A strong medical background and desire to develop practice supporting a growing multi-specialty medical group
- Previous experience in adult pain management care preferred
