CNA​/Nursing Assistant​/Nurse Apprentice Neuro Surgical Trauma Part-Time

Overview

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Assistant / Nurse Apprentice for the Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. The unit has 18 critical care beds and 17 step‑down beds and cares for post‑operative patients as well as patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders.

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical and patient service coordination.
• Provide nursing care services under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, including bedside care and assist with clinical procedures.

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho OR a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network; if already holding ACLS and/or PALS, endorsed per SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• At least six months of patient care experience in an acute‑care setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to care for all age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric).
