• Promote SCA’s mission, vision, and values.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, anesthesia techniques and perioperative care.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plans of care and coordinate with the perioperative team.
• Perform pre‑operative screening, data collection, and clearance of patients.
• Administer medications safely using the 8‑rights of safe medication administration.
• Document episodes of care completely, accurately and legibly.
• Participate in quality review, performance improvement projects and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain required competencies and pursue professional growth.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year of pre‑op, PACU or surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure in good standing.
• BLS or BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if providing pediatric care within facility scope.
• Specialty certification in perioperative or perianesthesia nursing preferred.
