Overview
St. Luke’s Health System in Boiseis seeking an experienced RN to join our Inpatient Oncology Medical/Surgical team!
Unit/Position Summary
Boise Oncology med/surg is apost op) bed Surgical unit where you will gain experience caring for patients along every phase of the cancer continuum, from diagnosis and treatment to palliative/symptom management and comfort care. You will care for post-surgical patients, patients receiving chemotherapy and some medical-surgical overflow. Those interested in an ICU-type experience will be able to care for patients who are critically ill and need close monitoring/intervention.
Typical RN to patient ratios on this unit are 1:4. For CNAs, the ratios are typically 1:7-10.

In addition, the unit offers a biennial oncology conference, biennial stem cell transplant conference, cross-training to a connected outpatient unit, and multiple leadership opportunities to enhance and advance oncology care.
