Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Idaho TMS and Behavioral Health — Boise, Idaho

Pay: $85–$90 per hour (W-2)
Schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays | Approximately 18–20 hours per week

Idaho TMS and Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide onsite psychiatric care to an established adult patient population at a partner behavioral health facility in Boise.

This position offers a predictable two-day weekly schedule, an existing patient panel, and administrative support from an established psychiatric practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication-management appointments
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, including serious mental illness
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
• Administer long-acting injectable psychiatric medications when indicated
• Order and review appropriate laboratory testing
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with onsite staff to coordinate patient care
• Determine appropriate treatment plans and follow-up intervals based on clinical needs

Patient Population

The position involves treating adults with conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and other psychiatric conditions.

Experience managing complex psychiatric medication regimens and serious mental illness is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Work Hours

$85–$90/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

The anticipated workload is approximately 18–20 paid hours per week across Mondays and Wednesdays.

Compensated time includes scheduled patient care, required clinical documentation, and authorized administrative duties. Actual hours will depend on patient needs and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho APRN license
• PMHNP certification
• Appropriate prescribing authority and DEA registration
• Experience with serious mental illness preferred
• Experience with long-acting injectable medications preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Start Date

The position is expected to begin following completion of the partner-facility agreement and necessary insurance enrollment and credentialing updates.
