Position: National Consultant for Project Results Assessment

Organizational context: UN Women Türkiye works to advance women's rights, gender equality, and empowerment, aligning with global and national strategies. The office focuses on women's leadership, economic empowerment, ending violence against women, and women's peace and security. It collaborates with diverse partners, including civil society and youth organizations, to promote gender equality and address backlash against women's rights. The "Reimagining Gender Equality Across Generations and Communities" project aims to strengthen these efforts.

Job purpose:

This role supports UN Women Türkiye's "Reimagining Gender Equality Across Generations and Communities" project by conducting a Project Results Assessment. The purpose is to systematically document and analyze the project's achievements, identify lessons learned, and provide evidence for accountability and future programming. The assessment will focus on understanding the project's contribution to observed changes, rather than a formal evaluation. The findings will inform UN Women's strategies and support evidence-based advocacy and collective action for gender equality.

Responsibilities:
The National Consultant will lead a Project Results Assessment for UN Women Türkiye's "Reimagining Gender Equality Across Generations and Communities" project. Key responsibilities include conducting a comprehensive review of project documents, developing an Inception Report with methodology and tools, and designing markers for results assessment. The consultant will implement a mixed-methods approach for data collection and analysis, including key informant interviews and focus group discussions.

They will assess progress against project outputs and outcomes, analyze the contribution of interventions to observed changes, and identify enabling factors and barriers. The role also involves reporting preliminary findings, producing draft and final assessment reports with evidence and lessons learned, and ensuring adherence to UN Women's ethical and quality standards.

Education:

A Master’s degree in gender studies, political science, social sciences, human rights, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a first‑level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.

Work experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in assessments, evaluations, research, or results measurement is required. Experience with civil society organizations in Türkiye and proficiency in qualitative data collection and analysis are also necessary. Experience with women's rights organizations, youth groups, and knowledge of gender equality issues are strong assets.

  • Assessment and evaluation methodologies
  • Report writing and presentation
