Common questions
Is Ethos regular AI training work like rating chatbot responses?
No. Ethos is an expert network. AI labs, investment funds and large companies pay for your domain knowledge (deal analysis, clinical reasoning, legal logic, financial modeling) in three formats: multi-week consulting engagements, 30 to 60 minute advisory calls, and research surveys. Listings like this one are the AI-lab engagements, where you write or review expert material for a model.
Do I need to keep applying for projects on Ethos?
No. When your profile is live, Ethos matches you to new projects from your career history, so companies find you. Each finished project raises your Expert Score, which brings you better-paid work.
How many hours a week is this Curatorial Manager work?
Between 5 and 20 hours a week. At $70/hr that is $350 to $1,400 a week. You set your own hours.
What experience does this Curatorial Manager listing ask for?
The listing asks for 4+ years working in a museum, gallery, cultural institution, arts nonprofit, or academic humanities setting producing scholarly or public-facing written material; demonstrated command of art-historical, literary, or cultural research methods and the ability to translate scholarship into clear, board- or public-ready writing; and expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Ethos's interviewer builds your profile from your CV, so have the roles that show this ready to talk through.
How much does this specific role pay?
This listing is posted at $70/hr, an hourly rate. Pay can change after we check the listing, so confirm the rate on the platform's application page.
Who built Ethos and is it legitimate?
