Position summary and expectations describe guest service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards, and 20/20 guest expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service and high-quality food in a clean environment.
  • Answer guest questions quickly and accurately and follow Jack in the Box standards for guest interactions.
  • Maintain neat and professional appearance in accordance with uniform and grooming standards.
  • Be well prepared and calm during busy times; work as a team to solve problems and meet guest needs.
  • Follow restaurant policies on hours, breaks, and timekeeping; be a reliable team player who asks for help when needed.
  • Ensure food presentation, taste, temperature, and quality meet standards; assist with order accuracy and timely service.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness (interior and exterior) and assist with duties across front and back of house as assigned.
  • Support food safety practices by following hand washing, glove procedures, and other safety policies.
  • Represent the brand positively and inspire others to embrace the Jack in the Box culture.
  • Read guest cues and communicate effectively to address needs and resolve issues with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible, and adapt to changing business needs.
Qualifications
  • Experience
    :
    Guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful; comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    :
    Must be at least 16 years old. Clear English communication; ability to read and perform basic math; multitask and work well in a team. May require additional language depending on location.
  • Physical Requirements
    :
    Ability to stand/walk most of the shift; ability to lift/carry 15-25 lbs; ability to listen to orders, operate a cash register, and read video monitors.
