As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security‑related incidents at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and interact with employees and visitors to provide a welcoming and secure environment.

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and around the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
- Document and report security‑related incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and others present at the location, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security‑related protocols.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment within the tech, media, and telecom setting.
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
- Experience in customer service‑related roles is preferred.
- Ability to use a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
