Overview
Northwest Equipment Sales, a Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Dealership (Mack, Volvo, Kalmar Ottawa, and Cummins) is seeking to hire a Full-Time Diesel Technician for its facility in Boise, Idaho. Must have own tools and good communication skills. Have at least one year of experience, various types of equipment experience is a plus, and a clean driving record. Wages are $20.00 - $40.00 per hour based upon experience, knowledge, and skill level.
Having a current CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus.

ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, performs skilled work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of trucks as assigned by the Shop Foreman. Core responsibilities include: perform maintenance and repair work on trucks as listed on repair orders, inspect trucks to diagnose concerns and troubleshoot with proper equipment to make proper repairs or adjustments, follow established guidelines for proper repair and maintenance, consult service literature as needed, inform Shop Foreman of additional repairs or maintenance required, complete a parts requisition for all parts needed, properly document cause and correction for all concerns listed on repair orders, tag and secure warranty parts, attend training classes, stay up to date with industry standards via OEM literature and trade associations, operate shop equipment safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, increase customer satisfaction by completing repairs correctly the first time, maintain high efficiency and productivity, maintain personal hand tools, and consult with the warranty department as needed for proper repair procedures and parts for warranty repairs, service programs and recalls.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years training, education, or experience in any combination
- Possess a valid state driver’s license and set of hand tools
- Write legibly and possess verbal communication skills
- Understand principles of maintenance and methods
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in repairing trucks
