  • Position Description Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a water wagon throughout an active heavy civil construction site.
  • Perform dust control on haul roads, work areas, and access roads.
  • Apply water as needed to support grading and soil compaction operations.
  • Operate pumps, valves, spray bars, and other water-distribution controls.
  • Safely fill and refill the water tank as needed throughout the shift.
  • Work around haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and other heavy equipment.
  • Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain safe speeds and proper following distances on haul roads.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, foremen, and other members of the dirt crew.
  • Follow all company and project‑specific safety requirements.
  • Position Requirements Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a water wagon, water truck, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
  • Heavy civil, mass excavation, mining, quarry, or large earthwork experience preferred.
  • Comfortable operating equipment on uneven terrain and active haul roads.
  • Experience with water pumps, valves, spray systems, and tank filling preferred.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work around moving heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work extended shifts and overtime as required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
