Senior Programmer, Java and Python

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development
• Proficient in React, React Native, Flutter, or similar frameworks
• Strong backend development skills (Node.js, Python/Django/FastAPI, or similar)
• Familiar with CRM and accounting tool integrations via APIs
• Experience in building estimation, quoting, or pricing applications preferred
• Knowledge of OpenAI API integrations is a plus
• Ability to work autonomously and produce clean, secure, maintainable code
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Preference for U.S.

• Design and develop the software from the ground up using reliable open-source frameworks – Convert our service rules into dynamic pricing algorithms – Build a scalable backend using Python, Node, or an equivalent language – Develop a responsive mobile/web frontend, preferably using React or Flutter – Implement secure authentication and role-based permissions – Connect with CRMs through API endpoints – Deliver comprehensive documentation and ensure test coverage – Maintain effective communication and provide project status updates

At McDowells Specialty Repair, based in Boise, Idaho, we are a family-owned company with over 30 years of experience specializing in various repair services, including Paintless Dent Repair, interior automotive repair, upholstery restoration, and furniture repair. We are currently seeking a senior-level contract developer for a custom estimation application that will enhance our pricing system across all services and integrate with modern CRM and FSM platforms.
