We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to build and evolve high-load backend services for a banking / Fin Tech platform. The role is focused on microservice development, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, performance optimization, and production-grade engineering practices.
Responsibilities- Develop high-load backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Design and evolve microservice and event-driven architectures
- Identify and resolve architectural and performance bottlenecks
- Implement REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems
- Handle distributed transactions and Saga-based patterns
- Build reliable interactions through Kafka
- Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Develop unit, integration, and performance tests
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, APM, metrics, and dashboards
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
- Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, collections, generics, Streams, and exception handling
- Experience with Spring Core, Data, Security, Hibernate / JPA
- Strong PostgreSQL experience; understanding of high-availability setups such as Patroni
- Hands-on Kafka experience and understanding of event-driven architectures
- Experience with distributed systems, scalability, Saga patterns, and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Docker, Open Shift, Git Lab CI, Maven / Gradle
- Strong troubleshooting and observability skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Nice to have Banking / Fin Tech experience
