Goldfish Swim School – Boise

We’re looking for an energetic & responsible swim instructor/lifeguard with experience working with children. We want to invest in you! We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, competitive pay and opportunities for growth (no prior swim instructor or lifeguarding experience necessary).

• Tuesday–Friday 3:45 pm – 7:30 pm
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
• Saturday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
• Sunday 11:45 am – 4:00 pm

• Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum (training provided)
• Enforces safety rules & regulations to prevent accidents
• Makes rescues & administers first aid when necessary
• Evaluates students’ progress and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
• Interacts with parents/guardians about the activities & development of students’ swim skills
• Acts as a Goldfish ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction
• Uses problem‑solving & creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Inspects pool areas before & after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues and reports them to management
• Maintains & ensures proper storage of all pool equipment, and places & removes lane lines
• Reports accidents & incidents to management, completes required documentation & paperwork
• Performs light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal, etc. on occasion
• Attends required/mandatory workshops and in‑service training outside of regular working hours
• Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer

• Minimum age requirement is fifteen (15)
• Swimming experience is helpful, but not required
• Ability to work with children
• Ability to learn, be trained & coached
• Preferred: experience as a swim instructor, certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Certificates and licenses: CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (provided and paid for by the employer)
• Shallow water attendant, highly recommended
• Work environment: regular exposure to water, heat and humidity; moderate noise level

Goldfish Swim School Boise is a rapidly growing, award‑winning franchise that teaches kids ages 4 months to 12 years how to swim and be safer in and around the water.
