Job Summary

Security screener positions encompass providing security and protection for air travelers. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) aircraft searches, passenger screening, baggage screening, and preventing dangerous objects from being transported onto aircraft.

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints, maintaining focus amidst distractions, people, and noise. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.

Requirements

• Comply with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Regulation.
• Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Capable of processing information promptly.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain it.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Previous ramp or airline experience preferred.
• Complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment.
• Clear an FBI fingerprint background check.
• Physically fit to perform duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
• Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
• Willing to work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.
• Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, on short notice.
