Business Development Manager - Retail / LTL
We are seeking a results-driven New Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality. This role focuses on acquiring new business primarily within the retail LTL consolidation sector, while also supporting growth in brokerage and other operational areas. The successful candidate will establish new relationships and identify opportunities to drive revenue growth. If you excel at solving client pain points and developing strategic sales approaches, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales efforts by coordinating new business development initiatives in collaboration with operations and pricing teams.
- Develop and implement strategic action plans to acquire new business.
- Identify and understand current logistics challenges and build opportunities that support immediate and long-term revenue growth.
- Engage in proactive prospecting and sales activities, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Target and close new business opportunities through effective prospecting and negotiation.
- Adapt sales approaches based on client needs, focusing on problem-solving and up-selling.
- Maintain professionalism, transparency, and ethical standards at all times.
- Set clear goals, take responsibility for outcomes, and strive for continuous improvement.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of sales experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven skills in prospecting for new business with a focus on short, mid, and long-term growth.
- Strong fiscal management and critical thinking abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a history of collaboration.
- An existing book of business is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
