ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Merchandise Training & Documentation Specialist working hybrid in Bolingbrook, IL to support our premier client’s merchandise planning and operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in merchandising or planning and inventory. This is a 6-month contract role that offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize gaps in current training, documentation, and processes.

The position also involves developing detailed process maps to drive efficiency, ensure consistency, and establish best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop background/knowledge on the Merchandising and/or MP&I roles within Ulta including daily responsibilities, systems used, processes and reporting.
• Facilitate cross functional meetings to gather feedback regarding pain points, as well as identify gaps in processes, training, systems and reporting.
• Coordinate & facilitate training sessions in conjunction with internal partners
• Identify process improvement opportunities for the Merchant and/or MP&I teams and collaboratively develop training and documentation that defines best practices.
• Tie business knowledge to creating process maps for processes and systems used.
• Build trust with cross functional partners through timely follow up with clear communication and collaboration.
• Collaboratively partner with business SMES and Merchandise Process Team to ensure consistency in the training material outputs from any documentation maintained

Required Skills:

• 3+ years in process improvement and best practices
• Merchandising, Planning, or Inventory experience a plus
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Creative, solutions-oriented, and proactive mindset
• Collaborative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
