We’re seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and deliver enterprise-level technology risk, security, and compliance initiatives for a large, well-established retail organization.
This role is ideal for a PM who has successfully managed risk assessments, control remediation, IAM governance, vulnerability remediation, and audit-driven initiatives in a structured PMO environment.
This is not a hands‑on cybersecurity role. It is a delivery, governance, and coordination role focused on ensuring security and risk projects are executed properly and are audit‑ready.
Base pay range: $75.00/hr - $80.00/hr
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives
- Own the full project lifecycle: kickoff, planning, execution, governance, and closeout
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, and risk logs
- Facilitate project meetings, design walkthroughs, and risk & control reviews
- Provide weekly and bi‑weekly project status updates highlighting risks, control gaps, and remediation progress
- Partner with Portfolio Managers on resource and capacity forecasting
- Ensure compliance with PMO standards, documentation requirements, gate reviews, and change control
- Coordinate with IT Risk Management (ITRM), Audit, Compliance, and Architecture teams
- Track and maintain governance artifacts, remediation evidence, and validation documentation
- Support rollout planning, implementation coordination, and post‑implementation lessons learned
- Experience managing cybersecurity, technology risk, audit, or compliance projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Control remediation
- Vulnerability management
- IAM governance
- Regulatory / audit-driven initiatives
- Proven project management experience across the full lifecycle
- Experience working within a PMO-governed enterprise environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical risk into business impact
- Experience with Planview PPM
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)
- Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
- PMP or similar certification
