Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects of maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide Maker’s Pride employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent also supervises, trains, and mentors members of the Maintenance department, ensuring production equipment is properly maintained to support product creation and packaging. This position reports to the Plant Manager and supervises a team of up to 25 Maintenance Technicians.
Job Duties- Lead, develop, manage and execute all aspects of maintenance in collaboration with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide employees, and manufacturing staff.
- Create and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Maintenance department.
- Maintain key equipment parts inventory, manage the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, the Work Order system, and oversee day‑to‑day activities of the Maintenance department.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve all standard operating procedures related to predictive and preventive maintenance to meet company and customer requirements.
- Evaluate the performance of direct reports against job requirements and performance goals.
- Partner with Corporate regarding corporate programs and best practices.
- Maintain a safety, sanitation and GMP awareness within the department.
Required Knowledge & Competencies
- Maker’s Pride procurement, products and production processes.
- Knowledge and experience with EAM and SAP.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in a multi‑craft maintenance role and continuous improvement (PLC programming a plus).
- Proficiency in developing both predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with customers, suppliers, employees and manufacturing staff.
Abilities
- Detail‑oriented, self‑confident leadership, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency
- MS Office Suite, EAM and SAP.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business/technical‑related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of related work experience, including management and leadership of a maintenance department, preferably in the Food Industry.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑confident leadership and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sitting at a workstation for infrequent periods.
- Standing, walking and climbing stairs frequently.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds infrequently.
- Work conducted in both an office and production floor setting.
- Frequent exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts and temperature fluctuations.

The pay range for this full‑time, salaried position is $85,788–$128,682 per year, with base pay determined by location, experience, job‑related skills, and education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. A comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401(k) and wellness benefits begins on the first day of employment.
